Title: I Love the Foot-Hugging Fit
Review: I’m tired of wearing sneakers and running shoes that are so wide on the outside that they make my feet look clunky and enormous. These Ryka sneakers follow the lines of my feet without being so narrow that they pinch. My feet actually look reasonable in them. They have good support, good treads to minimize slipping, and are lightweight enough to feel comfortable all day. I appreciate that the ankle support hits exactly where it should. The heels tend to angle my feet forward a little, but that’s not a bad thing.I wear between an 8.5 and a 9, depending on brand. While these in an 8.5 fit, I wish I had sized up for a little more room in the toes, especially when I wear thicker socks. The Quiet Gray has just a touch of aqua on the tops but much more on the sides and soles. I love that these are quality sneakers that look and feel great, too.— Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Title: Comfortable and stable
Review: This is my first pair of Rykas. I have worn a different brand for years. I decided to try something different and am glad I did. These shoes definitely fit and feel different. I like the fact they are designed for women’s bodies and are not a crossover running shoe. I am a daily walker and wear out a pair easily within 6 months. As a senior citizen I want a good fit, and secure feeling when I step downward. I could tell my first time walking in these shoes that my leg muscles were feeling the difference in my stride. As a child I had to wear corrective shoes to hold my foot flat. These shoes seem to be good for my old feet.

Title: Wide toe box
Review: I have wide feet and need a wide toe box which is harder to find than you think. I usually get topo athletic shoes but needed a lower cost back up and im pleased at how these fit. The toe box is wide enough to be comfortable to wear and walk around for several hours. The only downside I saw so far is that the arch support is minimal and is the insert is a bit thin and you can kind of feel the bumpy sole through it. But adding your own insert could solve these issues.

Review: Why did you pick this product vs others?:The other shoes I bought one year ago are ripping at the toes. I love the way these Rika’s are made! It’s stitched and leather by the toes. Real quality! OnCloud5 are not leather by the toes and are clued rather than stitched. Even though the Other brand were very comfortable, only lasted one year before ripping out at the toes. Title: Bottoms porous – slippery and smelly!
Review: After 3 months of light walking on pavement and work floors, they had to be tossed. Their excessive slipperyness (from rapidly degrading trad) is dangerous. The bottoms that absorb and retain odors due to their porous nature makes them impossible to wear.DON’T BUY if you plan to use them outside. They’re good for work/gym for as long as the tread lasts, but it doesnt last long (~3mo light walking elderly, tiny dog (no running/jumping) on pavement/grass is what it took mine). It may last longer if used strictly inside. Arch support is noticable, which takes time to get used to, but no blisters. Good fit (wider toe box).Long review: Within ~3mos the bottoms wore down to the extent that they’re very slippy and unsafe for work. They’re amazingly like socks. I slipped while quickly turning a corner in my lab! **Pavement is safe**After ~1mo they begin stink!! Figuring out the cause took me past the return window. Initially I thought cat urine(!)had doubts bc: 1)the smell is only on bottoms of the shoes – not the insides/fabric, 2) UV light investigation showed no signs of urine anywhere on or near them, and 3) they were stored in an unaccessible location after the initial smell (~7 months ago — yes, I SHOULD’VE THROWN THEN OUT THEN, but with them having had so little use, I didn’t want to be wasteful and assumed a good clean could save them)Anything you step in outside, soaks into the shoe bottom, and stays… but it could just be from the porous bottoms getting wet from dew (they’ve never been in like puddles) that causes the rank smell.The strong smell prevents me from wearing them to work. It’s embarrassing. I’ve washed, left them in the heat, left them in the extreme cold, etc. and while this does work enough to where I don’t smell them ~15ft away, but then anytime you use them outside again they stink again. They emit such a noxious ammonia-esque smell, they must be left outside.

Title: 2nd pair not the same aize
Review: I bought this shoes 10 months ago fitting perfectly out of the box. I wore them out since I walked at least 3 miles everyday through concrete. They fit great! I ordered another pair in same size 10.5 and they are too small. I measured them and they are 1/4 inch smaller than my old pair making them uncomfortable. Probably made in China, very disappointed. I really love the fit and comfort so, I will reorder but afraid to order 10.5 again and have the same problem. I will reorder in size 11 and hopefully, they won’t be too big. Except now they are $10 more! It wouldn’t allow me to exchange. I’ll update my review then.
