Title: Soft, Sleek, and Snug—Beautiful Shoes with Sizing Caveats
Review: The Bloch Dansoft ballet shoe is a luxurious, comfortable choice for dancers —but sizing requires extra attention. You’ll enjoy a true-to-character ballet slipper in soft material that holds up very well!

Title: Street size 9=6.5
Review: I made sure to read the other reviews thoroughly before purchasing, and I’m glad I did! As many state, the difference in numerical size from street shoe to ballet shoe is very different. I wear a 9 medium in flat shoes. My feet are a medium width, maybe a little on the wider side of medium. I wanted something to fit snug, so I purchased a 6.5 narrow. They fit very well. The first two wears were a little tight, but they have since molded to my foot and are very comfortable. The only thing I don’t like, is that the elastic strap is too tight for me. I have a higher arch, so the strap digs in more than is comfortable. I have been wearing it tucked under my foot. After tightening the drawstring, they stay on, so I’m not sure if I will replace the elastic or not.The leather is a good quality, soft and smooth, well stitched.I bought these so I could exercise on the wood floor in bedroom without slipping in socks or feeling like I was too rough on my bare feet. These can slide when I need to, but don’t slip out under me. They’re also durable enough for more vigorous exercise moves.I also love the way they look on. Just wearing them makes my ballet workout tapes feel totally different!Overall, pretty, comfy, and well made for a good price!

Title: Great fit and durability
Review: I use this in my first adult ballet class. The color and quality feel nice. I like the full sole. Some say this product fits big, but from my friend who did ballet for many years, she said it shouldn’t fit snug to your toes. With that in mind, mine fit perfect to shoe size.

Title: Good quality, but hard to size
Review: These seem like good quality, classic colored, leather ballet shoes but we have struggled to get the right fit. (And found very little documentation regarding how to choose the right size) My daughter typically wears size 8-9 street shoes, but the 6.5 shoes were way too big. So we tried the 5.5. These were better but still gapped when on releve. If we had to have leather, I would have tried again for the 5.5 narrow, but as it was we got the Stelle canvas ballet shoes in 7.5 and they fit perfectly. (Pictures show the fit of the 5.5 Bloch and the 7.5 Stelle)

Title: Love this shoe. Fits large and wide.
Review: I wear US women size 6 or EU 36 in 90% of street shoes. Always medium width. I got my first pair of these shoes in a size 4C (medium). They fit snugly when I first tried them on, but after 4 months of adult beginner ballet (twice a week), they started to feel very loose. I can still wear them, but they would sometimes bug me during center. Also, I had to pull the elastic so tight, that they would dig into my heels without socks on.I just sized down to a size 3.5B (narrow), and they fit much better. Mind you, I do not have narrow feet, so these fit very wide. I’m wondering if I should size down to a 3B just in case they become too loose after some wear, but as the size 3.5B is on sale right now for $8, I will keep them and reassess after a few months. In comparison, I wear sizes 3.5C in the Bloch Performa, 5.5B in the Bloch Synchrony (tho this shoe just doesn’t fit right for me), and 7 medium in the Capezio Juliet.Aside from the sizing, I’m a big fan of these, and their are my leather full sole shoes of choice. I have also tried the Capezio Daisy, but these shoes mold much better to my feet.TL;DR: Amazing shoes. Size down 2.5 sizes from your street shoes (for women) and consider narrow sizes even if you have medium-width feet.

Title: (Updated/for ballet)Here’s another sizing tip from someone who’s been through it.
Review: !!Only for snug fitting DANCE slipper finders!!Pics1. 5.52. 4E which is little stretched3. 3E also little stretched4. How to measure foot lengthAside from the sizing issue, the quality of this product seems excellent. To help others choose the right size especially for dance purposes, I’ve included detailed information about my foot size and how this product fits me below. My feet status: (if it is too much, skip to the last!)I have significantly mismatched feet, but I generally wear a women’s size 8 street shoe to fit my larger left foot comfortably. I can fit into size 7.5, but it feels slightly tight on my left foot in a length wise. Unfortunately, my right foot is much shorter—so much so that I even have custom shoes made in size 7.5 for my right foot. My feet are overall quite lean, but I have a high instep, and my toes tend to spread out quite a bit when standing. For street shoes, I usually find a D width to be comfortable, and in some brands, I prefer an E width.+If this makes sense, I have narrow and small heels, which makes slingbacks, sandals, or any shoes with a strap around the heel uncomfortable and ineffective. When it comes to ballet slippers, most models tend to have a bit of extra space at the heel, even when the size fits well. For this product, I read that the length and width tend to run slightly large, so I chose size 5.5 (5.5C).The result… sadly, as you can see in the picture, I think I need to order at least one size smaller for the length. Additionally, having some ballet experience, I don’t think this product runs particularly wide. To properly grip the floor, I need room for my toes to move, but the width of this size felt too narrow for me—even if the 4.5 is made with the same last.I already adjusted the elastic to the tightest possible fit in an effort to make these work, so I don’t think I can exchange them now. However, since the length was much too long (even with socks), I decided to order size 4.5 x-wide as a replacement. I’m prepared for the possibility that the width might be too generous, but I generally prefer shoes that are slightly large rather than small. Once I receive the new pair, I’ll either update this review or write a new one.(Update)4.5 X-wide was still too big, so I exchanged it to 4 X-wide. For left foot, I’m happy with it, but for the right foot, I am considering ordering another pair in size 3.5 X-wide and making these into 2 asymmetrical pairs. Here’s my !updated! sizing recommendation based on my experience:First, draw the out line of your feet on paper. And measure the longest length of it. Now you have your precise shoe/feet size.Starting with 1 1/2 smaller in length according to the brand’s size chart. There is a possibility that you may have to go another 1/2 size smaller. For the width, in my opinion, no adjustment needed if you wear two different sizes, choose the smaller one.Buying sports gear online, especially ballet shoes from a model you’re trying for the first time, can be quite challenging. I hope this review helps even a little.——-update 2025.03.17——Note that for your safety, ballet slippers should fit snugly but not cramped in your toe area. Plus, since this product is made of leather, it will definitely stretch over time. So I think and believe by personal experience it is important that you get the feel of little tightness when using for the first time. I newly attached pictures pair of my…slipper (finally!) which is 3 x-wide! Yes 3X-wide! 4x-wide and was stretched and the remaining wobbly leather around toe area bothered. So I had to down the sizes again and I am finally happy with 3E.As you can see in the last pic, the right foot fitting is not snug enough. So, I tried even 2.5E on my right foot, but it was little bit smaller than desired.

Title: Tricky Sizing, Better Bought In-Person
Review: I wanted to love these Bloch ballet slippers, but the sizing was a gamble, and I lost. They ended up too loose, and not very comfortable, so I had to return them. The quality isn’t bad, but for shoes this specific, I’d definitely recommend trying them on in person. Ballet shoes need to feel just right, and ordering online makes that tough. Lesson learned: some things are better bought the old-fashioned way!

Review: These fit well, a bit snug but that’s good, because it makes them mold to your feet. And the leather is soft enough to break in after a couple.classes and some wearing around the apartment. And they look dead cute with the long laces and straps across the insteps.

Review: These are great slippers. I am not a ballerina, but I do in home consultations. I like to have a small foldable, cute slipper to wear when I’m in peoples homes. This fits the bill, though I did cut of the elastic so they are easy to slip on.
